Baseball

• Sophomore pitcher Dylan Thompson tossed a five-inning shutout against Coastal Bend College on April 1 and improved to 4-0.
• Redshirt freshman pitcher Luke Ekdall stuck out eight during a start against Coastal Bend on April 3, and is now tied for second in NJCAA Division I baseball with 80 punchouts.
• Redshirt freshman pitcher Travis Minard won his third consecutive start and improved to 3-0 on the year after tossing five innings of two-run ball against Coastal Bend in game two of a doubleheader on April 3.
• Freshman catcher/designated hitter Zachary Tuxhorn matched his individual and team season-high with five RBIs against Coastal Bend on April 1. Sophomore infielder Drew Britton and freshman third baseman/pitcher Ryley Leininger have also accomplished the feat this season.
• Freshman catcher/designated hitter Dane Perry recorded his first two-homer game against Coastal Bend on April 1. He became the fourth Buc to go deep twice in a game this season, joining Tuxhorn and sophomore infielders Hunter Smolinski and Jacob Bohacek.
• Tuxhorn posted two hits in game two of Blinn's twin bill against Coastal Bend and now has a team-high 18 multi-hit games.
• With eight walks in game two of its doubleheader with Coastal Bend, the Bucs have drawn at least eight walks in 12 games this season and are averaging six per game.
• Freshman outfielder Carson Cherry, freshman catcher A.J. DePaolo, freshman first baseman Austin Glasscock, Perry, Leininger, and Tuxhorn, alongside sophomore utility man Benji Barrera, and Bohacek and Smolinski have each hit their first collegiate home run this season.

• Freshman outfielder Skylar Flanagan has recorded at least one hit in 28 of her 32 games played this season. 
• Sophomores Halle Scheel (outfielder) and Daniela Lopez (first baseman), as well as Flanagan and freshmen Lexis Moss (utility), Kourtney Karter (catcher), Jaylen Budalich Moraice (catcher/first baseman), and Londyn Holland (infielder) have each hit their first collegiate home run this season.
• Two Bucs (minimum requirement of 2 PA/G and 75% of games played) are hitting .400 or better this season: Flanagan (.447) and Moreno (.421).
• Blinn's pitching staff is limiting opposing lineups to a .235 batting average (193 for 822).
