Baseball

  • Blinn head coach Dusty Hart is one win away from 800 for his career. Now in his 21st NJCAA season, Hart is 799-341.
  • Freshman catcher/designated hitter Zachary Tuxhorn posted two hits in his team's April 16 win over against Alvin and now has a team-high 21 multi-hit games. Sophomore infielder Hunter Smolinski had multiple hits against the Dolphins on April 16 and in game two of an April 17 doubleheader and also has 21 multi-hit efforts.
  • Freshman utility man Dane Perry set a personal mark and tied a team season-high with two doubles in a victory over Alvin Community College on April 16.
  • Sophomore Ben Polleschultz tossed 6 1/3 innings and struck out a season-high nine in a victory over Alvin on April 16. He moved to 4-0 on the year.
  • During a victory in game two of the twin bill against Alvin on April 17, sophomore utility man Benji Barrera set his season- and career-high with four RBIs.
  • Barrera went deep in both ends of the April 17 doubleheader against Alvin, including the first grand slam of his career in game two.
  • Redshirt freshman Travis Minard continued his late-season rise with a five-inning complete-game victory over Alvin in game two of the April 17 twin bill. Minard struck out four and didn't allow a walk while improving to 5-0.
  • Blinn's game-two victory over the Dolphins on Saturday improved its home record to 20-5. The Bucs have won at least 20 home games in each of the past four seasons.
  • Tuxhorn has been Blinn's most slump-proof hitter this season, with hits in 37 of his 44 games played. He has reached base by way of a walk or hit in all but three games this season.
  • Freshmen Carson Cherry (outfielder), A.J. DePaolo (catcher), Austin Glasscock (designated hitter), Perry, Ryley Leininger (third baseman), and Tuxhorn, alongside Barrera (utility), Jacob Bohacek (infielder), and Smolisnki have each hit their first collegiate home run this season.
  • Hit tracker: Smolinski leads Blinn with 66 hits.
  • Hitting streaks (five or more games): Smolinski 13; Tuxhorn 9; sophomore utility man Kason Atkins, 6.
  • Average tracker: Tuxhorn holds a team-high .432 batting average this season (64 for 148).
  • RBI tracker: Tuxhorn leads the Bucs with 47 RBIs.
  • Home run tracker: Through 45 games this season, 13 Buccaneers have combined for 65 homers. Bohacek leads the way with 11.

Softball

  • The Buccaneers are on an eight-game winning streak, matching their longest streak of the season.
  • Freshman utility player Lexis Moss recorded two hits for a fifth consecutive game when she went 2 for 3 in game one of a doubleheader against Coastal Bend College on April 15.
  • The Bucs matched a season-high with six walks in a game-one win over Coastal Bend on April 15.
  • Blinn racked up a season-high eight stolen bases during a game-one victory in a twin bill against Angelina College on April 17.
  • Freshman infielder Brianna Moreno set a season- and career-high, and tied Blinn's team-high with three stolen bases in the game one win against Angelina.
  • Sophomore Brynn Gallamore and freshman Jamison Wlos combined for nine strikeouts in the pitcher's curcle during the game-one victory against Angelina. The nine strikeouts matched a team-high this season, set against Angelina on March 21.
  • Freshman outfielder Skylar Flanagan recorded at least two hits in three of Blinn's four games last week and is now tied with Moss for the team lead with 18 multi-hit games this season.
  • Flanagan has recorded at least one hit in 33 of her 39 games played this season. Scheel is right behind her with a hit in 32 of 39 games played.
  • Scheel (outfielder) and Daniela Lopez (first baseman), as well as Moreno, Flanagan, Moss, and fellow freshmen Kourtney Karter (catcher), Jaylen Budalich Moraice (catcher/first baseman), and Londyn Holland (infielder) have each hit their first collegiate home run this season.
  • Three Bucs (minimum requirement of 2 PA/G and 75% of games played) are hitting .400 or better this season: Flanagan (.427), Moreno (.415), and Moss (.400).
  • Blinn's pitching staff is limiting opposing lineups to a .227 batting average (235 for 1,033).

Women's Golf

  • The fourth-ranked Buccaneers won the six-team TXWES Spring Invitational on April 14. The victory was Blinn's sixth team title of the 2025-26 season, and its second of the spring.
  • Sophomore Daniah Syed won the individual title at the TXWES Spring Invitational, her fourth victory of the 2025-26 campaign.
  • Syed shot a season- and career-best 5-under par at TXWES Spring Invitational, topping her previous mark of 2-under set at the Jack Brown Invitational on Feb. 2-3.
  • The Bucs placed four inside the top 10 at the TXWES Spring Invitational: Syed (first place), freshman Ava Murcer (fourth), freshman Jacqueline Lawrence (fifth), and freshman Arianna Rodriguez (10th).
  • Through April 19, Blinn golfers have combined for 21 top-10 finishes, 16 top-five finishes, 10 top-three finishes, and four victories.
