Sam Williams

Sam Williams begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Buccaneer football program.

A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Williams joins Blinn College with years of experience as both a player and a coach at the high school and collegiate level.

Prior to Blinn, Williams was a member of the St. Pius X High School football coaching staff for the 2022 season. He also served on the Desire Street Academy coaching staff from 2006 to 2008.

As a player, Williams starred as a defensive back for Nathan Bedford Forrest High School in Jacksonville, Florida, before signing with Navarro College. After two seasons as a Bulldog, Williams transferred to Itasca College before ultimately signing with Division I Nicholls State University for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

Williams played professionally for the Billings Outlaws of the Indoor Football League in 2006 and for Helsinki in the European Football League between 2006-2007.
