Jimmy Kirk is in his second season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Blinn College baseball team.
Kirk is in his 43rd season of coaching baseball, and his experience spans the high school and junior college levels. He began his career as an assistant for the St. Pius X High School baseball team and spent 12 seasons with the Panthers. During his run at St. Pius X, Kirk helped the program win three Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools state championships while also coaching numerous future Division I and Major Leage players.
Kirk began his junior college coaching career at Navarro College in 2015, where he spent one season before moving on to San Jacinto College-North for seven seasons. Kirk coached alongside current Blinn associate head coach Eric Weaver while a member of the San Jacinto staff from 2016-22. In 2023, Kirk joined new Blinn head coach Dusty Hart and helped the Buccaneers reach the NJCAA Division I Baseball World Series for the first time since 2014.
Kirk has reached the NJCAA Baseball World Series six times as a volunteer assistant coach.
Kirk is a native of Houston, Texas, where he currently resides.
