Men's basketball

  • With victories over Southern Arkansas Tech, Arkansas-Cossatot, and Dallas College Cedar Valley last week, Blinn is off to a 5-0 start for the second time in three seasons. The 2023-24 Buccaneers opened their season with a 6-0 mark. 
  • Across Blinn's first five games, seven Buccaneers have accounted for 20 double-digit scoring efforts, including five apiece for sophomore guard Dashawn Ceaser and freshman guard Desmeon Jones.
  • Freshman guard/forward Ian Sedah posted 18 points and 12 rebounds in a 99-75 win over Cossatot for his first collegiate double-double.
  • Blinn's 101-78 victory over Cedar Valley produced its highest scoring total of the season.
  • The Buccaneers recorded a season-high 18 steals against Arkansas Tech, their highest total since swiping 19 against Lone Star-Tomball on Nov. 1, 2023.
  • Blinn pulled down a season-high 51 rebounds against Cossatot, its most since a 53-rebound output against Coastal Bend on Dec. 4, 2024.
  • Blinn is now 4-0 against Cedar Valley since the teams' first meeting on Nov. 12, 2022, and is also 4-0 against Arkansas-Cossatot since first clashing with the Colts on Nov. 12, 2021.

Women's basketball

  • Seven Buccaneers have produced 10 double-digit scoring efforts through four games this season.
  • Blinn held Northwest Mississippi to just 41 points on Nov. 15, its lowest total allowed since holding Western Gulf to 31 on Feb. 2, 2025.
  • The Buccaneers scored 76 points in a win over Hill on Nov. 10 for their highest point total this season.
  • Blinn's 22 assists in its 71-53 victory over Connors State on Nov. 14 was its highest total since dishing out 23 in a victory over Coastal Bend on March 5, 2025.
  • The Buccaneers pulled down 63 rebounds in their win over Connors State, their highest total since recording 66 against Seminole State on Nov. 16, 2024.
  • Blinn's victory over Hill was its seventh in a row dating back to Jan. 2, 2017. The Bucs are 8-2 against the Rebels since Nov. 4, 2013.

Men's Soccer

  • The eighth-ranked Buccaneers played their first NJCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship tournament match on Nov. 16, a thrilling 2-1 loss to No. 4 Daytona State in Daytona Beach, Fla.
  • Blinn's first goal in the national tournament was scored by freshman forward Shefe Odojukan in the fourth minute of play against Daytona State.
  • Odojukan's goal was his fifth of the season and fourth in his last five matches.
  • The first assist by a Blinn player in a national tournament match was recorded by sophomore midfielder Sam Sebagabo, who aided Odojukan's goal.
  • Sebagabo's assist was his fifth of the season, good for second most on the team.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Noah LeMaster made the first start by a Blinn netminder in the national tournament, and recorded the program's first two national-tournament saves.
  • Of the 22 Buccaneers who took the field against Daytona State, all but one were making their national-tournament debut. Sebagabo played in the national tournament for Tyler in 2024.

Volleyball

  • On Wednesday, Nov. 12, ninth-ranked Blinn received an at-large bid for the upcoming NJCAA Division I Volleyball Championship. The nationals berth marks a sixth consecutive nationals trip for the Buccaneers and 12th overall.
  • Blinn boasts NJCAA Division I's second-leading attacker in sophomore Olivia Stringer, who has 505 kills this season. 
  • Sophomore middle blocker Jana Cetkovic has also had a big season for the Bucs with 1.39 blocks per set, second in NJCAA Division I.
  • Blinn is tied for most matches played in NJCAA Division I at 40 and is fifth in sets played at 136.
  • The Bucs lead NJCAA Division I with 1,586 set assists.
  • Blinn's 511 block assists leads NJCAA Division I. Combined with 102 solo blocks, the Bucs are third in total blocks with 358. Their 2.63 blocks per set are sixth.
  • In service, Blinn leads NJCAA Division I with 324 aces and is seventh with 2.38 aces per set.
  • The Bucs are fourth in NJCAA Division I with 1,698 total kills.
  • On Monday, Nov. 10, Stringer was named the Region 14 Newcomer of the Year.
  • Stringer, Cetkovic, and sophomore setter Leah Hoss were named to the Region 14 all-region first team. Sophomore hitter Kaliko Schilling and freshman hitter Annika Brooks received all-region second-team recognition.

Men's and Women's Cross Country

  • On Nov. 11, the Blinn men's and women's teams competed in the NJCAA Division I Men's and Women's Half Marathon Championships for the second time in as many seasons.
  • Both teams improved on their team performances from the 2024 half marathon. The Buccaneer men placed 10th while the Blinn women took 13th. Both teams finished 14th in 2024.
  • Freshman Brandon Lopez led the Buccaneer men with a time of 1 hour, 12 minutes, and 40.1 seconds, good for 43rd place.
  • Freshman Kaitlin Wilson posted the Blinn women's top place and time at 50th in 1:33:02.5.
