Chase Van Dyk begins his first season as a full-time member of the Blinn College baseball staff.
In 2024, Van Dyk served as a volunteer with the Buccaneers, aiding the Blinn pitching staff during the team’s run to the 2024 NJCAA Division I Baseball Championship tournament.
Van Dyk began his coaching career in 2023 at Ranger College, where he served as the pitching coach. He coached three of Region 5’s top-four strikeout leaders, and six of Van Dyk’s pitchers – a program record – went on to the NCAA Division I level.
Van Dyk starred on the pitcher’s mound for Reedy High School (Frisco, Texas) and was the fourth-ranked left-handed pitcher in the state when he graduated in 2018. He went on to play two seasons at Grayson College, where he was coached by current Blinn skipper Dusty Hart.
After Grayson, Van Dyk transferred to the University of Missouri before finishing his collegiate career at the University of Oklahoma.
Van Dyk earned a Bachelors in Kinesiology and a Bachelors in Psychology from UM and OU.
