Brateicka Mock enters her second season as assistant coach for the Buccaneer women’s basketball program.

Brateicka was a two-year starter for head coach Jeff Jenkins from 2008-10. 

As a Buccaneer player, Mock was named All-Region XIV and was awarded the Don Wilhelm Most Valuable Player both her freshman and sophomore seasons. After graduating with an associate’s degree from Blinn, she went on to play at Lamar University for coach Larry Tidwell. Mock graduated from Lamar in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.

Mock is a native of Navasota, Texas. While playing for coaching legend Tommy Gates, her high school team compiled 139 wins and just 13 losses. Her outstanding prep career concluded with a trip to the state tournament in Austin. Brateicka received all-region and all-state honors her senior season.

Mock is the daughter of Angela Jessie and granddaughter of Katie Jessie.
